Scarborough's TOP SECRET Blues Festival gets under way at the Spa in March and this year it's clearly going to be the biggest and most successful ever organised by the local Blues Club. Their volunteers are already making plans for an even bigger Festival in 2016.

"It's all about bringing even more top quality live music to Scarborough and helping to put our town on the map.  It's certainly not a SECRET anymore " says Mark Horsley, the Club's main organiser and promoter

The start of the Festival coincides with the PARTIAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN on Friday 20th March, so Mark and his dedicated team of volunteers appear to have  garnered almost 'universal' cooperation for their publicity efforts.  It all ends at midnight on Sunday 22nd March

The Festival is designed to entertain and appeal to anyone who enjoys live music, not just blues fans.  Americana, Soul, Celtic Rock, Traditional and Contemporary Blues, Folk, and Country music all feature in a wide ranging programme involving hundreds of top musicians.

Several international stars are due to take part including Ian Siegal (winner of seven British Blues Awards, Hall of Fame Inductee, European Vocalist of the Year), Jon Amor, Kyla Brox, Jo Harman, Joel Fisk, Pat McManus (Ireland), David Migden, Wille & The Bandits, and Guy Tortora (USA)

The club has developed a countrywide reputation for quality and value for money and it is, for example, still possible to buy a full weekend ticket for just £80.  Early. Bird tickets ran out in November.

Day tickets are also still available for as little as £28 on the Friday, £48 on the Saturday and £48 on the Sunday.  The Saturday and Sunday tickets give access to about a dozen performances, from Noon until Midnight, each day.

There will be two stages, one in the Ocean Room which has a capacity of 500 and another in the Promenade Lounge which is slightly smaller.

With comfortable seating for all, a relaxed 'cabaret style' layout in each venue, several different bars and restaurants, it should be possible to enjoy the entire weekend without moving more than a few yards from your favourite seat

The full lineup includes Ian Siegal, Jon Amor, Jo Harman, Pat McManus, Johnny Guitar Williamson & Mike Bowden (Blue Swamp Duo), Matt Woosey, Wille & The Bandits, Kyla Brox, LaVendore Rogue,  The Jar Family, Tony Devenport, David Migden & Twisted Roots, Guy Tortora, Joel Fisk, TC & The Moneymakers,  Goldie Reed, MG Greaves, Lucy Zirins, Leila Dee, Rich Adams, Leeds City Stompers, Steve 'Pablo' Jones, Benjamin Bassford, and Johnny Dickinson.
