Competitive cricket returned to the Yorkshire Coast on Saturday with wins for three of our local sides.

Finlay Morris took five for 37 as Whitby skittled Great Ayton's seconds for 167.

The hosts then reached their target with 8 and a half overs to spare.

Joseph Husband top scored with an unbeaten 71 as Whitby coasted home, in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One, with six wickets remaining.

Bridlington enjoyed a crushing 169 run win over Sutton on Hull, at Dukes Park, in Yorkshire Division One East.

Batting first, the home side amassed 280 for six. They then restricted Sutton to 89 for six from 25 overs before rain washed out the rest of their innings.

Flixton and Folkton chased a revised total after rain on their trip to Driffield in the same division.

Connor Stephenson's three wickets restricted the hosts to 204 for 8 from 50 overs.

Flixton then chased a revised target, reaching 146 for 5 in the 27th over, thanks to opener Ed Hopper's 31.

Scarborough CC aren't fielding a first team in the Yorkshire Premier North this season.
