Scarborough Athletic Manager To Auction Off Jerseys

Darren Kelly

Published at 12:12pm 11th June 2020.

Scarborough Athletic's Manager is trying to raise funds to help his football club.

Darren Kelly is auctioning off some his treasured match shirts from his playing career.

It is to help the team who, like many others, have outstanding bills to be paid.

Darren said:

"I've got a load of jerseys that have been used and played against some top quality players over the years, some who have moved on to really excel.

So it was one of those where I just thought the monthly bills of club are still outstanding and things need to be paid.

It's such a difficult time for everyone and I can only sort of relate to non-league football.

I know there are many businesses out there struggling with the current situation.

But it was one of those where I just thought you know what, if I could raise a few quid towards the club to help stump out some bills."

Darren has been speaking to Yorkshire Coast Radio's Paddy in the Morning:

Anyone who wishes to take part in the auction can do so through the Scarborough Athletic FC Supporters Group:
