Scarborough Athletic have signed Rotherham United's Jacob Gratton on an initial one month loan.

The pacy attacker recently signed his first professional contract with his boyhood club, the Millers on Tuesday.

Jacob will be available to play on Saturday against Steve Kittrick's Matlock Town, subject to EFL ratification.

Jacob can play anywhere across a front three or behind the striker and Rotherham say they are looking forward to getting down to the Flamingo Land Stadium to watch the progress of the young man over the coming weeks.

Boro boss, Darren Kelly said:

"Jacob is highly thought of at Rotherham, he trains with the first team.

He can play anywhere along the front line and he has plenty of good attributes that he will bring with him.

We would like to thank Rotherham for providing this opportunity for both parties."

Scarborough have also recruited top prospect Kieran Glynn from League Two club Salford City on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

Glynn, a 20-year-old goalscoring box to box midfielder, will be available for Saturday's home game against Matlock Town.

He started his career with FC United of Manchester, and after joining Salford he went on to spend time on loan at Chorley, Woking and Southport.
