Scarborough Athletic suffered their sixth league defeat of the season, as Radcliffe saw off the Seadogs 3-1.

In a tight Bet Victor NPL Premier Division, Athletic are 15th but just four points adrift of the play-off places. James Walshaw had levelled, six minutes before half time, after Boro fell behind on four minutes. However, the Lancashire outfit regained the lead early in the second half and a last gasp penalty but the result beyond doubt.

Whitby Town were also left frustrated on their travels, at Peterborough Sports, in the FA Trophy.

Chris Hardy's men fell behind to a free-kick on 20 minutes and the defeat was cemented, a minute from time, with the Southern Premier Central side's second goal.

Meanwhile, Bridlington Town defeated Goole 4-2 at the Hudgell Solicitors Stadium.

Brid raced into a 3-0 lead inside half an hour. Adama Ambo's own goal gave Brett Agnew's side the perfect start, on 13 minutes, with Chris Adams doubling their advantage, two minutes later. Billy Logan netted either side of half-time as Brid went 4-0 up, early in the second half. Two goals in four minutes around the hour mark prompted some concern, but Town rise to seventh, just three points adrift of the promotion places in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier.
