Very Different Turnarounds For Boro and Blues

Whitby Town came from behind to secure a draw with FA Cup hopefuls Nantwich yesterday, while Scarborough Athletic saw their advantage wiped out at Grantham.

The Seadogs sit 14th in the division as a result of Saturday's defeat.

John Deacey's Boro side led inside six minutes when Connor Thomson broke the deadlock. However, their Lincolnshire hosts battled back to lead by half-time and that's how it stayed.

Meanwhile, the Blues are ninth in the division, but just two points above Boro, after coming back from 2-0 and 3-1 down to rescue a point, at the Towbar Express Stadium. Substitute Arron Wearmouth smashed home from distance, with 17 minutes left, to make it 2-1 to Town's Cheshire opponents, who host AFC Fylde in the FA Cup First Round, next weekend. But the Dabbers hit straight back within seconds, only for two Jake Hackett penalties to bring Whitby level at 3-3, the last one, three minutes from time.
