Bridlington Town progressed to the second round of the FA Vase, on Saturday, but Scarborough Athletic and Whitby Town were left disappointed.

Brid won 2-1 at Penistone Church, near Sheffield- only their second success on their travels, this season. Fraser Papprill and Josh Greening netted for Brett Agnew's men, who earn £825 from the victory. They find out their next opponents in Monday's draw.

They drew 1-1 with bottom club Stafford Rangers, who levelled midway through the second half and even hit the post right at the end. Skipper Michael Coulson had put the Seadogs ahead, around the half hour mark. The result keeps Boro in 15th spot in the BetVictor NPL Premier Division.
