Scarborough in Next Round of FA Cup

Scarborough will face Southport in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup after beating Marske United 2-1 in their first round replay.

Marske had equalised late on in Saturdays's first round match at the Flamingo Land Stadium forcing a replay last night at Marske.

Marske took the lead in the first half of the replay with Boro leveling the score before half time through a James Walshaw free kick. Boro's second half winner came from the head of Isaac Assenso in the 81st minute.

Scarborough collect £4,500 in prize money and now travel to Conference North side, Southport FC for the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round on Saturday 21st September with a 3pm kick off.

Tickets are available to purchase online from the Southport FC Website, although there will be a cash turnstile on the day. Supporters are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance for easier access to Haigh Avenue.
