Bridlington Cricket Club celebrated promotion with yet another victory on Saturday.

Brid will be playing York Senior Division One cricket next summer after skittling York Thirds for 195.

The hosts then reached their target with four wickets in hand.

It's been a frustrating campaign for Scarborough who finished just two places outside the Yorkshire Premier North relegation places.

Sam Drury's men lost a tight clash by ten runs.

They bowled York out for 241- with Linden Gray taking another five for, and Ben Elvidge picking up three wickets.

However, despite James Pick's 68, they fell for 231 in reply, with one over remaining.

Folkton & Flixton clung on for a losing draw at Whitkirk as they also finished two places above the drop zone in York Senior Premier.

The home side blasted 284/5 from their 50 overs but a determined team effort saw the visitors cling on, led by Richard Malthouse's 39. There were contributions down the order as Folkton & Flixton finished on 220/9.

Whitby enjoyed a crushing win as they finished fourth in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One.

The destructive Finlay Morris hammered 158 not out from 92 balls, including eight sixes. Skipper Will Donald struck 84 as the Turnbull Ground side had the luxury of declaring at 40 overs on 281/4.

Opponents Great Ayton Seconds were rolled over for just 93, in just 28 overs, as Donald, Ricky Hall and Corey Hart took three wickets apiece and even Morris weighed in with a scalp of his own.
