Scarborough earned a winning draw after a tight Headingley-esque finish at Castleford yesterday.

There was no sign of Ben Stokes but it still went to the wire in the Yorkshire Premier North as the hosts finished seven runs short of their target, with a single wicket remaining.

Scarborough batted first and made 203/4 from 46 overs thanks to skipper Sam Drury's 111. Castleford's target was adjusted up to 207, but they finished on 200/9 with the impressive Drury taking five wickets too.

Flixton & Folkton lost another close clash, in York & District Premier as Pickering edged home by three wickets in the final over.

Jamie Nesfield made 49 as Folkton & Flixton posted 160/9, while their Pickering just about knocked off their target, with just four balls remaining. Harry Walmsley took 4/54 and Nesfield himself finished with figures of 3/32.

Hosts Stamford Bridge Seconds made 186/8, with Sam Edmundson notching 3/18 and Simon Leeson taking 2/34.

Brid's reply lasted less than 30 overs as Sam Wragg made 69 and Luke Dixon an unbeaten 53 as they posted 187/4.

Whitby were left frustrated at the Turnbull Ground as visitors Richmondshire Seconds battled to a draw with one wicket left.

Skipper Will Donald made 53 with wicket keeper Joe Fewster smashing 68 as Whitby scored 201 all out.

Corey Hart took 5/40 but the away side dug in to frustrate their way to 152/9.  Scarborough
