Scarborough suffered a six wicket defeat despite the winning the toss and batting first, against Woodhouse Grange, in Yorkshire Premier North yesterday.

Number eight Jack Harrison top scored with 34 not out as Scarborough stumbled to 157 all out at North Marine Road.

The visitors knocked off their target with six wickets and more than ten overs to spare. Their four dismissals were shared between Harrison, Kristian Wilkinson, Sam Carver and Adam Eustace.

In the York Senior Premier, Folkton & Flixton lost by 21 runs to Hull Zingari. However, it looked rosy when Connor Stephenson took six for 60 as Hull collapsed from a strong position to 197 all out. However, the National Village Cup holders fell short as they were skittled with more than eight overs remaining. Jake Hatton top scored with 46.

Bridlington fared better as their march to promotion continued in Division Two. They amassed 250/8 before bowling out visitors Yapham for just 140.

Whitby also had a thumping victory as they had the luxury of declaring on 262/6 from 45 overs in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One.

Theo Clarke bludgeoned an unbeaten 47-ball 76, with Theo Smith also notching a half century. Joseph Husband then took three wickets and Corey Hart two as visitors Wolviston were dismissed for 158.
