Scarborough Cricket Club were humbled by Clifton Alliance in Yorkshire Premier North on Saturday.

Batting first, at North Marine Road, the hosts were skittled for just 92. Opening bowlers Jack Holt and Kristian Wilkinson managed to take four wickets between them, in response, but the away side got home, by six wickets, with nearly 30 overs remaining.

York Premier Folkton and Flixton had a losing draw at Acomb. Jamie Nesfield and Elliot Hatton got four wickets each as Acomb were bowled out for 162. The home side were somehow ordered to chase the same target in just 45 overs and fell 21 runs short, after a lower order collapse, but they did keep one wicket in hand to earn a losing draw. Will Norman top scored with 42.

There was better news for Bridlington who beat Hemingbrough by five wickets to stay top of Division Two. After reducing their opponents to 181/7, Brid reached their target with three and a half overs remaining.

Unfortunately Whitby lost by the same scoreline, to Darlington seconds, in North Yorkshire South Durham Division One. Kai Morris top scored with 33 as Whitby were bowled out for only 122. The away side eased home by five wickets, despite two wickets each from Finlay Morris and skipper Will Donald.
