Bridlington remain top of York & District Senior League Ebor Division Two despite never bowling a ball in anger, against Wheldrake, on Saturday.

Brid's opposition were unable to field a side so the league leaders were handed 30 very useful points.

Elsewhere, Whitby had to settle for a winning draw against dogged Normanby Hall, at the Turnbull Ground.

Finlay Morris top scored with an unbeaten 96 as Will Donald's men posted 173/8 from their 50 overs.

The hosts had Normanby 100/8 but they rallied to 147/9 to bat out their overs and take a share of the spoils.

Scarborough had a disappointing afternoon at North Marine Road- against Beverley. Matthew Pillans took three wickets but the away side still ended up on 218/9. The reply was below bar and Scarborough lost by 53 runs despite wicket keeper Jonathan Read's half century.

Folkton & Flixton were skittled for 170, with Jake Hatton firing 43. Opponents York seconds reached their target four wickets and more than eight overs to spare.
