Scarborough's cricketers thumped Clifton Alliance by 122 runs as they went top of the Yorkshire Premier League North, on Saturday.

Opener Sam Drury smashed 145 from 131 balls, including six sixes, as the visitors posted 292-5 from their 50 overs. The hosts had little to hit back with as they were skittled for 170. Wickets were shared between David Snowball, Matthew Pillans, Ben Elvidge, Linden Gray and James Pick.

In the York Premier, second-placed Folkton and Flixton suffered a losing draw at home to Acomb. The away side posted 259-7 from their 50 overs, with Chris Mann taking 4-73 as the Village Cup holders fought back from Acomb's 122-run opening stand. In reply, the hosts recovered from 14-3 but fell eight runs short. Harry Walmsley hit 82 and Matthew Nesfield struck 57.

In Division Two, 100% leaders Bridlington enjoyed a nine-wicket win at Hemingbrough. The home side were bowled out for just 84 as Richard Robinson took four wickets for five runs. Sam Edmondson and Harry Burton took two wickets apiece, with Sam Leeson also striking. Sam Wragg hit an unbeaten 33 as Brid eased to victory.

Whitby were less successful, losing by eight wickets, at Bishop Auckland, in Durham & Northumberland Division One. Invited to bat first, Will Donald's men struggled to 151-9, with Donald himself making 31 and Finlay Morris top scoring with 34. In a match reduced to 39 overs a side, Auckland reached their target with five overs and eight wickets to spare.
