Stimpson Departs Boro

Defender Danny Stimpson has left Scarborough Athletic.

The 27 year old joined The Seadogs in the summer but missed the early part of the season due to injury.

He made his first competitive appearance for Boro as he scored against Sheffield FC in September, retaining his place for the away game against Brighouse before he was forced off at half-time through injury.

Stimpson returned to the starting line up against rivals Whitby Town in the North Riding Senior Cup.

He cemented himself at centre-back alongside Sam Hewitt for November and much of December, scoring against Ossett Town in the Evo-Stik North before missing out against Hyde United on 23 December.

Since then, Stimpson has found his chances limited, making just one further start against Pickering Town in the North Riding Senior Cup before his departure at the weekend following Boro's 2-1 win over Trafford.

He leaves the club having made 15 appearances for the club.
