Scarborough Athletic have announced that striker Carl Stewart has rejoined the club ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Stewart left Boro in November 2016 after scoring 11 goals in all competitions during the opening months of last season before moving to Tadcaster Albion.

The former Ossett Town and Bridlington frontman went on to finish the season with 19 league goals for the Brewers to finish 7th in the top scorers chart for the Evo-Stik North.

After initially choosing to join Shaw Lane in the Evo-Stik Premier during the off season, Stewart has been tempted to link up again with Boro ahead of the new season.

Scarborough Athletic fans will be hoping the striker can replicate his form from last season to set the Seadogs up for a successful campaign.

Stewart will link up with his new team mates at the start of pre-season training on Saturday.
