Scarborough Athletic boss Steve Kittrick is set to have two new players in his squad for the away game against Brighouse Town on Saturday.

Striker Billy Logan has joined the club from NCEL Premier Division side Pickering Town. The 26-year-old has been in superb form since returning to the Pikes in November 2016, scoring 9 goals in all competitions for Paul Marshall's side.

Logan had only recently returned to Pickering after stepping away from semi-professional football two summers ago upon becoming a father.

He has appeared in a Boro shirt before, making 13 appearances during a short spell in the 2009/10 season for the club in the NCEL Premier Division.

Logan has also been a prolific goal scorer for West Pier in the Scarborough and District League, scoring 61 goals in just 30 appearances last year and 20 goals in just 7 outings so far this season.

Kittrick was pleased to land Logan. He said:

"Billy's been at the club before and has shown that he's a good goal scorer since rejoining Pickering Town.

"He wants to play at the highest level he can and as a local lad wants to come here and prove himself."

Also added to the squad is central defender Jacob Norburn who has recently returned from a spell playing out in Italy, having spent his youth career at Grimsby Town.

The Boro boss is keen to cast his eye over the talented youngster.

"Jacob came to watch us on Saturday and we'll have a look at him in training this week. He got recommended to me so we'll see how he does."

Kittrick is keen for his side to bounce back at Brighouse from the defeat to Lancaster City last weekend.

"It'll be a tough game, we've got to get back to winning ways and bounce back from last week. If we can turn the second-half performance from the Lancaster game into ninety minutes on Saturday then we'll have a good chance of claiming all three points."
