Scarborough Police Crime Update

Police in Scarborough are appealing for the public’s help to identify two men after one man was assaulted and a second man was threatened.

The assault occurred at approximately 8.10pm on Dean Road when the victim was approached by two men. One the men punched him in the face causing bruising to his left eye. Following the assault the victim saw the two men have verbal altercations with two other men in the area.

Both of the men police would like to identify are described as white, aged about 19 and about 6ft tall. They were both wearing beanie hats, tracksuits and trainers.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses, and in particular either of the two men who were approached by the suspects, to come forward and contact the police on 101, press option 2 and ask for Rebecca Lalor.

Police in Scarborough are appealing for information following an act in the town.

It occurred between 4pm on Thursday 23 February and 2pm on Friday 24 February 2012,  when at least three cars parked on Woodland Walk were had their paintwork damaged by aerosol spray.

Police are appealing for information following a disturbance on Prospect Road, Scarborough at 11.20am on Saturday 25 February 2012. Three local men, aged 28, 31 and 41, were arrested on suspicion of affray at the scene. A 19-year-old local man was arrested a short time later on St Leonard’s Crescent on suspicion of obstructing a police officer.

During the Prospect Road incident a small child tripped over a dog lead and was taken, by a family member, to Scarborough hospital for treatment to a facial injury.

All four men have been released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.
