Measures In Place To Track Covid-19 Cases In North Yorkshire

Published by Karen Liu at 6:01am 21st July 2020.

A number of measures are in place to track any rise of Coronavirus cases in North Yorkshire.

That is from the County Council's Director of Public Health, Doctor Lincoln Sargeant.

He said:

"In North Yorkshire in the last seven days, which is one of the key metrics we're looking at, we're averaging about one, possibly two, per day; so that's really low and that's affecting all parts of the county.

We can monitor the rate of positivity of those tests and if that begins to rise, that's an early warning that we might be seeing an increase in cases.

So we have a number of things that will give early warnings to look in more detail."
