Scarborough Pair Appear In Court Under Covid Legislation

Two people from Scarborough have appeared in court under the Coronavirus legislation.

It happened back in April on Blenheim Terrace in the town.

Liam Dunn, 29, from Norwood Street, was charged with four offences.

He pleaded not guilty to:-

  • Participate in gathering in public of more than two people in England during coronavirus emergency period
  • Obstruct/resist a constable in execution of duty

But he admitted to:-

  • Fail to give name and address to constable - engaging in anti-social behaviour 
  • Criminal damage to property valued under  £5000

Mr. Dunn has been remanded on unconditional bail until he appears back in court in September.

Meanwhile, Dawn Heather Dixon, 42, from North Marine Road, pleaded guilty to participating in a gathering in public of more than two people in England during Coronavirus emergency period.

She also admitted to being drunk and disorderly in a public place and has been ordered to pay a total £239 in fines and costs.
