Yorkshire Coast Play Areas To Re-Open

Yorkshire Coast Play Areas To Re-Open

Published by Karen Liu at 12:40pm 3rd July 2020.

Families are able to use play areas on the Yorkshire Coast from tomorrow.

It is alongside many businesses re-opening this weekend because of the easing of lockdown.

Richard Burton, Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said:

"We have over 84 different play areas across the East Riding.

These are play equipment like climbing frames, swings and all the wonderful things that children enjoy.

I'm sure many of them have missed during lockdown and I'm pleased to say that they will start to be opened.

There will be signage around, there will be guidance for parents and we will ask them to make the point of washing your hands and sanitising before you go on the play equipment, socially distance and just be generally careful."

Richard explains what else is re-opening this weekend for Bridlington and the East Riding:
