Delight Over Yorkshire Coast Holiday Providers Re-Opening

Published by Karen Liu at 1:33pm 24th June 2020.

The owner of a holiday cottage near Burniston says she's delighted to be able to welcome guests next month.

It is after the announcement that accommodation, hospitality and leisure providers can re-open from 4th July.

It is hoped that it will bring a much-needed boost to the tourism industry.

Paula Penny, owner of Low Moor Holiday Cottages, said:

"We were expecting the news but hoping it was definitely going to be the green light.

There were talks of the 4th of July and we were given the guidelines to work 'til the 4th of July so we just hoped we would definitely be given that green light, and obviously at last, we were."

I have had my first booking this morning since the news and I am absolutely delighted.

It gives us a positive start going forward that July and hopefully August, September, October, we'll all be welcoming tourists back to Scarborough.

So it was a positive start to my morning today."
