Bridlington Attraction Prepares To Re-Open

Bridlington Bird of Prey and Animal Park is preparing to re-open from Monday.

It is after the government announced that zoos in England can welcome visitors, as long as they stick to social distancing guidelines.

Paul Woodward, Owner of the Bridlington Bird of Prey and Animal Park, said:

"We've got one way systems in place now, we've got social distancing signs everywhere, we've got hand washing points.

We are limiting the amount of people that are coming and some of the public interaction won't happen, for example, the raccoon and monkey feeding which we normally do.

But because of that, we're doing more flying displays and more owl handling for example.

The animals will be relieved. They have been missing the public like mad and it's really noticeable.

The real sociable animals like the meerkats, they'll be ecstatic to see people again.

The owls, I'm sure anyone who's been here before will be used to the owls landing on your head, landing on your shoulder, they will love people. They will be really, really relieved."

Paul has been speaking to Yorkshire Coast Radio's Paddy in the Morning:
