Published by Karen Liu at 7:54am 1st June 2020.

A boy has been rescued in Flamborough after falling a small distance whilst scrambling along the bottom of the cliffs.

Bridlington Coastguard Rescue Team were called yesterday (Sunday 31st May) at around 2.30pm along with Filey Coastguard and Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

On arrival, a cliff top system was set up and two team members were lowered in to the bay where the boy was along with two other family members.

The boy was found to have a broken ankle and it was decided that the safest extraction method was by the coastguard helicopter.

The boy's two family members were also rescued up the cliff.
