PICTURES: Spring Bank Holiday Monday On Yorkshire Coast

Despite warm sunshine, the Spring Bank Holiday was much quieter than a normal Bank Holiday Monday in the resorts of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington.

Some local beauty spots were busy, including car parks on the Flamborough Headland, Hunmanby Gap and Cayton Bay, but those who were out were generally socially distancing. 

Jonathan Bassett from JB's Drone Photography sent us the above image of Scarborough's North Bay from Scalby Mills.

Alison said Whitby was generally quiet with most socially distancing. She sent us this picture of the beach looking towards Sandsend:
