Humberside Police Issues Advice To Prevent Burglary

Published by Karen Liu at 7:59am 20th May 2020.

Humberside Police is issuing advice for residents to help prevent burglaries.

The force says it is committed to tackling the crime and they are doing all they can in taking action against those who commit this type of offence, however they do need the public's help.

Detective Sergeant Andy Bradley said:

“Those who commit burglary need places to store their ill-gotten gains. We’re looking for any information you may have that could help lead us to any stolen property, so that we can reunite victims with what is rightfully theirs.

The most common stolen items tend to be from homes and garages with property such as motorbikes, tools, garden equipment and bicycles, with electronics including TVs, laptops and tablets also typically taken.

Do you know of any lockups or other premises where stolen goods may be stored? Your help could mean we can locate the property and give it back to the victim, as well as prosecuting the offender.

If you have any information you think could help us, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and you will remain completely anonymous.”
