Two women have been rescued in separate incidents, in Scarborough.

The first incident saw the local fire brigade assist a female patient on Eastborough, allowing paramedics to gain entry to the property, around 9pm on Saturday.

Then just before 1am on Sunday morning, a more unusual situation saw fire crew help a woman who was hanging upside down, 15 feet in the air. She had a foot caught in barbed wire at a property on Seamer Road in the town. The woman was treated for superficial injuries at Scarborough Hospital.
