Man Rescued From Cliff Fall In Scarborough

A man has been rescued in Scarborough after falling near the town's Clock Tower Café. 

Scarborough and Burniston Coastguard Rescue were called on Monday (20th April) at around 3.10pm to reports of a man who had fallen down a cliff. 

Due to the potential for this to be a technical cliff rescue, Filey Coastguard were also tasked. 

On arrival, paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service were treating the man already.

The Coastguard say the man and his mobility scooter had left a path descending around 20 meters.

The team assisted stretchering out the man to the cliff top for onward transport in the ambulance.

In a coastal emergency dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
