Modern History Museum To 'Light It Blue' For NHS And Carers

A modern history museum near the A64 in Malton will be joining the "Light it Blue" campaign tonight.

Eden Camp will be paying tribute to the NHS and care workers.

Harriet Stainton, who is from there, said:

"Our original water tower will be lit up bright blue which can be seen from all directions, and we're also projecting the NHS logo on there to say thank you for all the hard work.

We are saluting all the carers and instead of applauding, we are going to shoot our anti-aircraft gun at 8pm, which will be heard from quite a distance away."

Eden Camp is also launching a new project called #OperationRainbow.

Harriet added:

"We're asking children all over the country to colour in their rainbow pictures and send them to us, so we can decorate the entirety of Eden Camp with beautiful pictures of rainbows in support of everybody.

So we're asking for as many as possible and to be as creative as possible".

There's more information here: where your child can have a print out rainbow editions of a Spitfire, key workers and a 'We Can Do It' poster, to colour in themselves.
