Flood Warning Issued for Bridlington

Flood Warning Issued for Bridlington

Published by Matthew Pells at 7:30pm 28th March 2020.

The Environment Agency has issued a Flood Warning for Bridlington

Flooding is expected for the north side of the dock area, properties on Harbour Road and the Floral Pavilion.

The agency say the warning is now in force due to forecast overtopping of sea defences by waves and spray as a result of strong onshore winds. Overtopping is forecast on Sunday morning 29/03/20 between 05:30am and 10:30am.

They say they are closely monitoring the situation and advise locals to put their flood plan into action. Please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous and stay aware in case further warnings are issued.

It's one of those new road signs, 'Beware of Houseboats'.
