Sewerby Hall And Gardens Gives Out Free Milk

Sewerby Hall and Gardens have given out free milk to local organisations who need it.

It follows the closure of the Clock Tower Cafe this week, where the staff were left with a range of stock which was about to go out of date.

The team at the cafe have donated all of the food to the Kingfisher Trust cafe on West Street in Bridlington, which provides free hot meals for the homeless.

The cafe staff have also given out 45 four-litre bottles of milk dated 26 and 27 March to other local organisations.

Marie Gascoigne, general manager, Sewerby Hall and Gardens, said:

“I am delighted that we have been able to put food to good use which would otherwise have gone to waste.

I hope that the milk will also prove useful to other local organisations.”
