Bradley Lowery's Scarborough House Name Revealed

Bradley Lowery's Scarborough House Name Revealed

Published by Karen Liu at 4:07pm 12th March 2020.

The Bradley Lowery Foundation's revealed the name of its planned Scarborough holiday home.

The five-bedroom home for terminally ill children will have its own gym, sauna, and barbecue terrace.

It is in memory of Bradley Lowery who died of neuroblastoma when he was six, and one of his last family holidays was in Scarborough.

The house will be based on land off Burniston Road which has been gifted by the Borough Council.

Bradley's mum, Gemma, said:

"We want obviously the name to be quite special, it's a special home for a special little boy.

So we did ask the public to give some suggestions, but the one we went with is perfect - Super Brad's Pad.

He was an absolute superhero, he was my little baby, my superhero, and a lot of other people's superhero so it needed to be in the name.

We've got so many memories with Bradley and Scarborough really stands out.

It's a fantastic place, so much to do and I want to help other families make special memories like I did.

Scarborough Borough Council have been absolutely fantastic, and we have got a piece of land that we're going to start building on hopefully by the end of the month.

We just need to raise that last little bit of money and then we'll have it completed, hopefully, by next year."
