Bridlington Man Sentenced for Child Sex Offence

A Bridlington man's been sentenced for a sexual assault outside a school.

64 year-old Michael Wilson, from High Street, after previously denying it, admitted one charge of sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 16.

It's after an incident last January at Headlands School on Sewerby Road.

He pleaded not guilty to two further charges of trespass with the intention to commit a sexual assault, which and they will remain on file.

Wilson's been given a 12 month prison sentence, suspended for two years..

He also has been given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 7 years and goes onto the Sex Offenders' Register for 10 years.

He has to do 30 days of rehabilitation and a programme - and has been ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £140.
