Scarborough Hospitality Association will host the Yorkshire Coast Expo Business and Hospitality Show today.

It will be in the Spa Grand Hall and adjoining ground floor areas of the Spa complex.

With over 100 exhibitors, the products and services on show will range across all aspects of the tourism industry.

There will be major producers and wholesalers of fresh and frozen food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, catering equipment, beds and soft furnishings, cleaning materials and cleaning services, IT solutions, as well as small business associations, accountancy, insurance, and utilities providers.

Association member, Ed Blakeley, said:

"Scarborough is at the end of the road, shall we say? So, a lot of companies don't tend to want to come, or they come on their way to somewhere else.

We've developed this over the years now, with lots of different companies coming this year. So, obviously they see that there is a massive market. It's a win-win situation for businesses."

Attendance of the show is not restricted to SHA members and attendance on the day is expected to exceed 500 businesses.

It's free for tourism businesses on the coast and runs from 10.30am till 5pm.

Free parking is available in the Underground Car Park close to Scarborough Spa.

It advertises free car parking in the underground car park . Unfortunately this was not the case . On previous years there has been a person on duty giving a ticket as you go in . This year this did not happen . Everyone who came to look therefore had to buy a parking ticket and for 3 hours that cost us £4.40
