New Evening Buses Between Bridlington And Scarborough

New Evening Buses Between Bridlington And Scarborough

Published by Karen Liu at 2:30pm 27th February 2020.

There are going to be new evening buses going between Bridlington and Scarborough.

The announcement comes from local bus company East Yorkshire, as it changes its summer Coaster timetable with more evening journeys to be included.

The fully branded buses will continue to link Bridlington and Scarborough, giving both residents and tourists more time to spend in the two towns.

The extra journeys will depart from Bridlington at 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00 and will serve the holiday camps and villages between the coastal towns from 7th March.

The double-decker buses include next-stop announcements, free WI-FI and USB charging facilities on board, as well as comfortable seats with tables upstairs.

East Yorkshire’s Area Director, Ben Gilligan, explained the later buses were included to give people more choice with what to do with their evening:

“Bridlington and Scarborough have lots of great restaurants, pubs and bars and it’s important that visitors to our region can enjoy them by public transport. These extra journeys are a great option for people working shifts on the holiday camps too.”

The Coaster ticket will also return this summer, which allows unlimited travel between Bridlington and Scarborough.

East Yorkshire buses will also be running their seaside open top bus services once again this summer.

The routes have been colour-coded to make it clear to visitors which bus they need to catch.

The Scarborough seafront 109 service will now be known as Beachcomber Red and the former Scarborough Skipper route will be rebranded as Beachcomber Green.

Bridlington’s open top bus service, which was named as one of the most scenic in the country last year, will be renamed Beachcomber Blue.

Scarborough’s open top bus services run from 7th March until 1st November and Bridlington’s run from 4th April until 27th September.

More details can be found about all of East Yorkshire’s bus services on or by calling BusLine on 01482 59 29 29.

Whilst there maybe later buses from Bridlington to Scarborough the last through bus to Bridlington from Scarborough is 08.40.
Not exactly a late bus.

The bus after that terminates at Reighton Sands, why can't it run to Bridlington after all EY have a depot at Bridlington.
