Another Drugs Arrest in Bridlington

Published by the Yorkshire Coast Radio News Team at 10:37am 26th February 2020.

Police have arrested another suspected drug dealer in Bridlington.

On Monday, police arrested a male youth on Wellington Road, for drug supply offences.

A large quantity of wraps containing suspected Class A drugs were recovered and a property on Marshall Avenue was searched in connection with the investigation.

Prior to the arrest, officers had received a couple of calls reporting concerns for this youth after being seen in the street.

They're raising awareness of the threat to young people and vulnerable adults exploited and groomed by criminal gangs to commit crime.

This is known nationally as County Lines. Children as young as 12 are being groomed and exploited by organised crime groups to carry drugs and money.

If you have any information or concerns surrounding a child or vulnerable adult, who may be subject to exploitation, please contact police on 101 or crime stoppers on 0800 555111.
