Five Drug Arrests on Yorkshire Coast

Police have arrested a four men and a woman on suspicion of drug offences on the Yorkshire coast.

On Tuesday, (18/02/20) officers from North Yorkshire Police arrested three males on suspicion of drug supply offences in Scarborough.

It was a joint operation between the North Yorkshire and the Humberside forces.

At around 3pm on Tuesday on Castle Road, Scarborough, police arrested a 32 year-old man from Leeds on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, the theft of a vehicle and wounding with intent.

They also arrested a 48 year-old man from Bridlington, on possession of Class A drugs, with intent to supply.

Shortly after, in the town centre, a 21 year-old man from Bridlington was arrested on the same charge..

All three were released on conditional bail

Officers then searched a property on Holyrood Avenue in Bridlington

A 26 year-old local man and a 51 year-old local woman were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.

They were released under investigation, while enquiries continue.
