Whitby School Raises over £900 to Help Find Missing Dad

Published by Matthew Pells at 8:36am 15th February 2020. (Updated at 9:07am 15th February 2020)

The continuing search for missing Whitby man Pete Brown has received a £900 boost after his daughter's school held a fundraising event on Friday.

The event at Caedmon College in Whitby was organised by Pete's daughter, 15-year-old Gracie.

The money will be used to help fund the search for Gracie's dad. In recent months the fundraising campaign has funded a media van which has been touring areas where Pete might be raising awareness of the search.

Gracie explained why she wanted to organise the event.

Caedmon Cake Sale 2

The cake sale was also supported by Whitby's Eskdale School.

There is a dedicated Facebook group called 'Pete Brown Search & Updates' which you can find here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PeteBrownSearch/

There is also a 'gofundme' page which aims to raise money to be used solely in the search for Pete here: https://uk.gofundme.com/f/find-pete-brown
