School Supports Search To Find Missing Whitby Man

Published by Karen Liu at 6:01am 14th February 2020.

A school is supporting the search to find a missing man from Whitby.

Pete Brown, 47, was last seen in May last year and the search for him has been on-going since then.

People have been fundraising with all money going towards enhancing the search for him.

In recent months, a 'media van' has been bought and it has been going around the country to raise awareness about missing Pete.

Today's event at Caedmon College in Whitby has been organised by Pete's daughter, 15-year-old Gracie, who goes to the school.

She said:

"Since the fundraiser came out, I sort of wanted to do something for that.

So I just basically asked my headteacher and they were really supportive; they agreed with it straight away and they were ready to help.

There'll be a cake sale, a 'name the teddy bear', and you pay a pound for non-uniform."

Gracie has this message:

There is a dedicated Facebook group called 'Pete Brown Search & Updates' which you can find here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PeteBrownSearch/

There is also a 'gofundme' page which aims to raise money to be used solely in the search for Pete here: https://uk.gofundme.com/f/find-pete-brown
