Director of Spicer's Auctioneers, Andy Spicer, said:

"Probably one of the oldest items is a Great Northern Railway crossing lamp. This has got a plaque on it from Waltham Station, which used to be between Grimsby and Louth.

The line was opened in 1848 and the man who used to look after the crossing would across and shut the gates and swing this lamp. This is probably 1900 in date, 1880."
