Flood Warnings on Yorkshire Coast

The Environment Agency's issued two flood warnings and a flood alert on the Yorkshire coast.

One Flood Warning is in force for North Sea coast at Bridlington - Harbour Road and Floral Pavilion. 

The Agency says flooding is expected for the north side of the dock area, properties on Harbour Road and the Floral Pavilion.

It applies for high tide tonight, between 6pm and 6.30pm.

There's another Flood Warning for the South Pier area, between the same times.

Flooding is expected for South Pier, the Chicken Run Jetty and adjacent car parks off South Cliff Road.

The Agency's advice is to please be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads, as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

There's also two less severe Flood Alerts.

Flooding is possible for the North Sea coast from Bridlington to Barmston.

Areas of particular concern are exposed promenades and frontages in Bridlington Harbour North and Harbour South between the hours of 5.30pm and 7pm.

The other Alert is for between Whitby and Filey, including Scarborough, from 4.45pm till 6.30pm
