Man Jailed for Drug Offences in Bridlington

Published by the Yorkshire Coast Radio News Team at 6:31am 6th February 2020.

A man who committed drug offences in Bridlington has been jailed.

It's after an incident on the Promenade at around 10am on the 26th of November, when plain clothed officers saw a suspected drug deal going on.

Police seized 53 wraps and an 8 gram bag of heroin, as well as 83 wraps of crack cocaine.

It's estimated the drugs had a street value of around £2,000.

Charles Turner, 21, from Crookhill Road, Conisborough, Doncaster, pleaded guilty last month to two counts of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply.

He's been sent to prison for 3 years.

That includes a 4-month suspended sentence from a previous case.
