Scarborough Athletic To Hold Fan Forum

Scarborough Athletic To Hold Fan Forum

Published by Karen Liu at 12:07pm 31st January 2020.

Fans of Scarborough Athletic are being invited to attend a forum later.

There's a chance to ask questions to the heirarchy's of the club.

It can also be attended by shareholders and stakeholders.

It is from 7pm at the Rivelyn Hotel.

Darren Kelly, Scarborough Athletic's Manager, will be there.

He said:

"This is something I've wanted to sort of do within the first week of being appointed into the role.

I think it's important that supporters know what I want to do, and how I want to do it.

A big part of that is building a strong relationships with them and gaining their trust, and that's what I'm going to do.

I really hope we can get the support tonight.

I have a great vision for this club, I've played for the club and I've seen then how much the support means to the club.

What I wanna do is get that all back and I think there's potential to get a lot more in the gate than what there is now.

Hopefully through what I'm doing, how I'm doing it and the results playing a part of that, we can get the Flamingo Land Stadium rocking.

The fans play such a bigger part that I don't think they understand.

You look at our home games, the buzz, the energy that the players feed off, especially in times of need.

If they can see the vision that I have for the club, and the part that they can play within that, then I think and I hope that we get a lot more through the gates."

Darren's been speaking to Yorkshire Coast Radio's Karen Liu:
