Witnesses Wanted After Firecracker Placed Into Eastfield Letterbox

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a firecracker was placed in the letterbox of an address in Eastfield.

It happened at Dale Edge at around 5.30pm on Friday 17th January and the firecracker caused damage to the letterbox.

Police say it's been reported that this incident may have been filmed and the footage shared via Snapchat.

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, they are appealing for anybody that has seen the incident in person or seen the video that was subsequently circulated to come forwards.
