Scarborough Disability Action Group Seeks More Funding

Published by Karen Liu at 6:01am 17th January 2020.

Scarborough Disability Action Group (DAG) is holding its Annual General Meeting today.

Anyone is welcome to attend and it's an opportunity to see what the charity's been doing over the last year, how its 'treats' project is doing, and more.

There's also the chance to meet DAG board members and volunteers who will answer any questions.

It's from 2pm at The Street on Lower Clark Street.

They are also looking for more volunteers and funding.

Ian Whitfield, Chairperson at Scarborough Disability Action Group, said:

"We give advice and information to people with disabilities and their carers; and offer activities for everybody in the 'treats' project.

The group's self-funded so we do our own fundraising so we're always looking for fundraising events.

I think finding more funding is on our top priority list.

We always need money towards car costs because it's quite rare to get funding for that from big organisations."
