Bridlington Teen in Court After Assaulting Police

A man's been in court today, after the assault of two police officers in Bridlington yesterday.

It happened at 1.40am, during an incident involving a group of people near the junction of Quay Road and Station Approach.

18 year-old Liam Guffick, from Florida Court, Hull, was arrested during the disturbance.

He was charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker and one of disorderly behaviour.

Guffick pleaded guilty to all three charges.

He's been given a conditional discharge for 12 months and has to pay £50 in compensation to each of the officers.

He must also pay a victim surcharge of £21 and £85 costs.
