Help Shape Future Of Mental Health Services In Bridlington

Published by Karen Liu at 12:38pm 9th January 2020.

Bridlington residents are being asked to help shape mental health services in the future.

A meeting tonight is inviting people to share their ideas and experiences.

It's been organised by the East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

Steph Thompson, its Mental Health Commissioning Lead, said:

"What we're trying to do is really connect to our local communities and local people and understand are those priorities right for them; but as importantly, how they can help shape our thinking and what we're doing over the next two to three years.

We need to be clear what changes we can do, but also support people locally to think about how they can work together to facilitate change.

One example is people really want to work together on understanding what options are out there for you if you do feel low or if you need a bit of support; and producing something that's really available for everybody so they would know where to go and who to contact, rather than having to ring a NHS line."

Anyone interested in attending the 'Mental Health Chat' tonight can go to The Sefton Hotel on Flamborough Road from 6pm to 8pm.

The CCG are asking people to email their attendance first to ERYCCG.Involve@nhs.net, but if people can't, then they will welcome anyone who drops by.

Alternatively, if someone can't make it to the event, you can still email your ideas and experiences to them.
