Burglary at Scarborough Restaurant

There has been a burglary at a restaurant in Scarborough.

Police say they believe that thieves broke into Clark's Restaurant on Queen Street at approximately 1.30am on Saturday 4th January.

They kicked in the front door to gain entry, an untidy search was made and the till was stolen. 

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, they are appealing for information from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, around the time of the burglary.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option two and ask to speak to PC Francesca Diffey.
