Published by the Yorkshire Coast Radio News Team at 12:22pm 3rd January 2020.

A man's admitted robbing a shop in Bridlington at knifepoint.

It happened in November, when 22 year-old Izac Thorne, from Harrington Road in the town, threatened a worker at a shop on Sewerby Road.

He had a knife, as he demanded money from the till.

He took four bottles of whiskey and ran off, but nobody was hurt.

Thorne has appeared in court this morning, where he pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He remains in custody and will be sentenced later this month
