Man Charged After Indecent Exposure in Bridlington

Published by the Yorkshire Coast Radio News Team at 7:27am 2nd January 2020. (Updated at 1:31pm 2nd January 2020)

A man's been accused of indecently exposing himself in Bridlington.

Humberside Police say they received a couple of calls at around 2.40pm on New Year's Eve, reporting a male acting inappropriately on North Beach, near to the leisure centre.

The male was with a female and described as being drunk.

Officers attended and the male was arrested for an indecent exposure offence.

They've been reassuring the public, who may have witnessed the male's unacceptable behaviour, that positive action will be taken and that they will not tolerate such inappropriate behaviour in a public place.

James Wagstaff, 37, of no fixed abode, has now been charged with outraging public decency and is due in court next month.

If you witnessed the incident please contact police quoting Log 302 31/12/19.
